the ice tray resets (rotates back to its starting position), the icemaker’s
electrical components (heaters, valves, etc.) will be powered.
A single flash of the icemaker LED indicates that a step was performed
successfully; a double flash indicates that the self-test is finished.
Otherwise, the icemaker LED will flash with the appropriate fault code.
3.2 Fault Code Summary
Fault codes are indicated by the blinking rhythm of the fault LED. If multiple
faults occur, only the most recent fault will be indicated. See Table 032-1
below for a list of fault codes and their descriptions.
Note:
If the fault LED flashes once slowly, then a fault exists. This flashing is not
part of the fault indication.

Problem Remedy

Ice production cycle is interrupted.
Start icemaker self-test and see if ice tray
rotates. If tray does not rotate, check
icemaker for mechanical blockage. If there
is a mechanical blockage, then replace
icemaker.

Faulty ice-tray heater or icemaker
electronic (3N1).
Heater and electronic are not replaceable;
replace icemaker.

Icemaker sensor fault.
Switch appliance off and on. If fault code is
not displayed again, then this was a
temporary fault. Inform customer
accordingly. If fault code is displayed again,
replace icemaker because sensor is not
replaceable.

Internal icemaker fault.
Replace icemaker.

Appliance door was open during
icemaker self-test. Close the door.
Tape the door switch down.

Communication error with door
module.
Check door supply voltage (12 to 14 volts).
If zero volts, replace icemaker. If voltage is
okay, check wiring of door electronics and
door itself.

Door electronic faulty.
Switch appliance off and on. If fault code is
not displayed again, then this was a
temporary fault. Inform customer
accordingly. If fault code is displayed again,
replace door electronic.
