The old method:
1. Touch the temperature icon so it turns YELLOW. Once it is yellow touch
one of the refrigerator or freezer icons. The down arrow will now appear.
NOTE the position of the down arrow.
2. Hold the temperature icon for 2 seconds; it will turn WHITE. All icons
except the temperature icon will disappear and the temperature icon will
be WHITE.
3. Place one finger on the down arrow; with the other finger, touch and
RELEASE the temperature icon. Keep holding the down arrow for about 6
seconds until a “c” appears in the display.
4. Once the “c” is in the display, use the up or down arrows to get to “h”.
5. Once on “h”, touch the temperature icon once and you will now see “h-”.
You can now use the up or down arrows to make the following selections:
h0 = Filter is installed (shows you are using the Miele water cartridge
filter)
h1 = Filter not installed (should be displayed if using an external filter or
filter bypass)
h2 = Filter change confirmed (option used to reset the light after the Miele
filter is changed)
h - = Return to menu
Example: Customer changed the Miele filter and wants to reset the filter light.
To reset the light we would use the chart above to determine the correct
selection. For a filter change, “h2” would be selected (follow steps below).
6. Select the appropriate selection from the chart above. For filter reset,
select “h2” with the up or down arrows and then press the temperature
icon and hold the icon down for 2 seconds to lock in the selection. You
must hold it down; do not just press and release the temperature icon. It
requires that it be held for 2 seconds on this step.
7. After the selection is made, the display should read h -.
8. Press the temperature icon once more and the display should read h.
9. Now arrow up or down to the “c” icon and press the temperature icon
again. You have now reset the filter. All letters should be gone in the
display and the filter light should be off. Do not power-cycle the
appliance with the on/off switch for 4 hours; otherwise, the filter
light may return. If this happens, repeat the above procedure.
The new method:
After the filter change the filter indicator in the display still flashes. The
change must be confirmed in the electronic.
Confirming the filter change:
1. Press and hold the filter change sensor button.
2. At the same time place a finger on the access button (temperature icon).
3. Press and hold both sensor buttons for approx. 5 seconds until a beep is
heard.
4. The water filter change has been confirmed and the filter change indicator
has been reset.
