14.5.2 About the NIBP Tile
• The NIBP tile displays all blood pressure in units of mmHg with a resolution of 1 mmHg.
• During cuff inflation or deflation, the cuff pressure replaces the mean value.
• If the NIBP measurement is invalid, “- -” displays in place of digits.
• If the elapsed time of the current measurement meets or exceeds the configured timeout value,
“- -” displays in place of the BP values.
NOTE: NIBP reading can be affected by the measurement site, the position of
the patient, movement, or the patient's physiologic condition. If you
question the NIBP readings, determine the patient's vital signs by
alternative means and then verify that the monitor is working correctly.
