Compose the picture as described in the basic
recording operation section (p. 26). Press the
shutter-release button partway down (1) to
lock onto the subject and set the exposure for
the series. Press and hold the shutter-release
button all the way down (2) to make the brack-
et series; three consecutive images will be
captured.
The remaining number of frames in the brack-
et series is displayed on the monitor next to
the bracketing icon. If the memory is filled or
the shutter button is released before the series
has completed, the camera will reset and the
entire bracket must be made again. When
using flash, there will be a delay between
frames as the flash charges.
When using exposure compensation (p. 52),
the bracketing series will be made in relation
to the compensated exposure. Under extreme
conditions, one of the bracketed exposures
may be inaccurate because it is outside the
exposure control range of the camera
