Music on Hold
Music On Hold provides callers with music or information while they are waiting for a call to be
completed. Music On Hold is provided when a call is on Hold, transferred to a busy party, or
camped-on to a station. The music or information source is provided by the customer.
There are three types of Music on Hold:
Analog Music on Hold
Digital Music on Hold
Embedded Music on Hold
In a tenanted system, each tenant can have its own Music on Hold source. The music sources
are programmed as analog phones.
Analog Music on Hold
Analog Music on Hold is provided by an external music source (a radio, for example) connected
to any one of the following:
Music on Hold connector on the back on a controller with Embedded Analog
Music on Hold connector on the back of a Universal ASU
Music on Hold connector on a Peripheral Unit E&M Trunk Card
