ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT
This document describes the configuration, customization, management, operation,
maintenance and troubleshooting of the Mitel SIP-DECT Multi-Cell for MiVoice
Connect.
AUDIENCE
This guide is intended for the following technical audiences:
• networking professionals responsible for designing and implementing the wireless
networks
• network administrators and IT support personnel who need to install, configure, maintain,
and monitor components of the system
WHEN SHOULD I READ THIS GUIDE
Read this guide when you are ready to perform a site survey to plan your system before
you install the system components.
Base stations and handsets are pre-configured before you receive them, and you can
deploy a system by simply plugging in the components. However, if you should need
information about configuring base stations, and handsets, this guide describes those
procedures.
IMPORTANT ASSUMPTIONS
This document assumes the following:
• You have a general understanding of network deployment.
• You have a general understanding of radio frequency concepts including signal
strength, interference, and attenuation.
• You have working knowledge of basic TCP/IP/SIP protocols, Network Address
Translation, and so forth.
