Procedure for executing the file transfer function (FTP client)
To execute the file transfer function (FTP client), set an FTP client and an FTP server in parameters, and execute a file
transfer function instruction.
Follow the procedures described below.
Setting an FTP server
1. Set the login name, password, and home directory for the FTP client to the FTP server. In addition, give users a right to
access (read/write) files. ( Manual for the server used)
Setting an FTP client
1. Set the IP address of the CPU module (built-in Ethernet port part) to be used as an FTP client. ( Page 242 Own
Node Settings)

For the Process CPU (redundand mode), set the IP addresses of system A/system B because communications are performed
using the IP addresses. Set the IP address of system B by the following procedure. ( Page 276 Redundant System

2. Set "Use" for "To Use or Not to Use FTP Client Settings" in "FTP Client Settings" under "Application Settings".

3. Set "Use" for "To Use or Not to Use DNS Server Settings" in "DNS Settings" under "Application Settings" as needed.

4. Set a timer for the file transfer function (FTP client) in "Timer Settings for Data Communication" under "Application
Settings" as needed. ( Page 260 Timer Settings for Data Communication)
