This chapter explains the product's characteristics, part names and functions, basic operations, and
the settings that must be congured prior to measurement.

Product Capabilities
This product is a measuring instrument that makes measurements by vertically moving a part called a
probe into contact with a specic point, and calculating the height of that point. Because the measure-
ments are obtained from the probe's position, this product can measure the inner diameter of holes
and the outer diameter of cylinders as well.
