IP67 IO-Link Modules for EtherNet/IP
Data Storage “Backup and Restore”:
In this mode, the synchronization of the IO-Link device parameters is bidirectional between the IOLM and
IOLD. This mode allows to do a backup of the IO-Link device parameters from the IO-Link device to the IO-
Link Master or to do a restore of the IO-Link device parameters from the IO-Link Master to the IO-Link device.
IO-Link Master IO-Link Device
Backup :
The “IOLD param” in IO-Link device are the reference. The IO-Link Master will update the IOLD param of the
port by uploading them from the IO-Link device (the IO-Link device sends the event “DS Ready upload”)
Restore :
The “IOLD param” in IO-Link master are the reference. The IO-Link Master will send the IOLD param of the
port by downloading them to the IO-Link device
Data Storage “Restore”:
In this mode, the synchronization of the IO-Link device parameters is unidirectional from the IOLM toward the
IOLD. This mode allows only the restore of the IO-Link device parameters from the IO-Link Master to the IO-
Link device.
The “IOLD param” in IO-Link master are the reference. The IO-Link Master will send the IOLD param of the
port by downloading them to the IO-Link device

SI with IO-Link
This operating mode is used if an IO-Link device is to be acquired quickly as a standard digital signal rather
than via IO-Link communication.
When this operating mode is enabled (with the CSICx bit=0), IO-link communication starts up (IOLMx=1). The
ID validation / Data Storage strategy are performed. If those two steps are successful (IOLS=0), the
communication mode automatically switches from IO-Link mode (C/Q state is IO-Link with IOLMx=1) to SI
mode (C/Q state is DI and IOLMx=0).
