Please refer to the specific IO-Link device data sheet for
the definition of the event codes.
IO-Link ISDU access
ISDU access (Index Service Data Unit Access) is the mechanism used to access to manufacturer specific data
objects in IO-Link devices. (Parametrization)
The read/write request can be performed through the HarshIO module using EtherNet/IP Explicit CIP
Messaging. You can perform such request with PAC/PLCs or with any other SCADA/HMI applications that
support such feature.
To send explicit CIP Messaging command, you can refer to:
- Rockwell PLC ladder code (TCIEI_AOI & Sample_Ladder_Code.ACD) is available from this link.
Please also refer to the chapter IO-Link parameter object
- You can also use the Molex EIP Tool (Ethernet/IP Tool) available from this link.
IO-Link device diagnostic
The IO-Link device diagnostic can be accessible from:
- IO data into Input assembly (refer to assembly 111)
- HarshIO module Web server interface
- Via Explicit Messages using IO-Link parameter object to get current status and event list.
IO-Link device parametrization
The IO-Link device can be parametrized with different methods:
- Parametrization via Explicit Messages using CIP object (Read / write ISDU). Refer to IO-Link
parameter object
- Parametrization via Direct Param Page2 mode (For IO-Link device V1.0 only). Refer to the
Configuration assembly
- Parametrization via Data storage mechanism.
- Parametrization via IO-Link configuration tool.
