Common Radio Features
PL Defeat
With this feature, you can override any coded squelch (DPL or PL)
that might be preprogrammed to a channel.
1 Place the preprogrammed PL
Defeat switch in the PL
Defeat position. You can now
hear any activity on the
channel. The radio is muted if
no activity is present.
2 When this feature is active,
the Carrier Squelch status
indicator (
C) will be
displayed.
