Receiving a Voice Call
When someone makes a voice call to your 3 number, the ringtune, the illumination and the vibrate function are activated
depending on your settings. When the Calling Line Identification (CLI) function has been activated by the caller, the caller’s
phone number is displayed. If the caller opts to hide their phone number, the e228 generates a message indicating that the
phone number has been withheld.

Useful tips for receiving a call are shown below:
To Do This
1 Answer the call Press the Start key or SK1 (Answer).
Note: When Any key answer function is activated, you can press any
key except the SK2 (Ignore), End key, and the Options
menu key to answer the call. Refer to Call options on page 62
for details.
Note: When the headset is connected, pressing the headset switch
also answers the call.
2Talk
3 End the call Press the End key.
The call is disconnected and the call time duration is displayed.
Task Steps
Turning off the ringtune You can mute the ringtune by setting the active phone profile’s Ring
volume to Silent. Refer to Handset profile on page 61.

while ringing
To mute the ringtune while ringing, press the C key.
Rejecting a call While receiving a call, press the End key or the SK2 (Ignore).
Note: Rejected calls are diverted to the number registered in Call
forwarding, If busy. This usually defaults to voicemail, depending
on the network operator.
When you miss a call If you miss a call, it is shown as a missed call by an icon on the Home
screen. The missed call is saved to the Missed calls list.
When you display Missed calls, the icon disappears.
