PCI Expansion Card Installation / Removal
NEC Express5800/T71f has four bus slots:
•
PCIE_1 -- PCI Express x16 slot
•
PCIE_2 -- PCI Express x8 slot
•
PCIE_3 -- PCI Express x8 slot
•
PCIE_4 -- PCI Express x4 slot
Install the expansion card
1. Remove the securing screw on the slot bracket.
2. Pull out the slot bracket and store it for reassembly later.
NOTE: Do not discard the slot cover. If the expansion card is removed in the future, the slot cover must be
reinstalled to maintain proper system cooling.
NOTE: Remove the expansion card from its protective packaging, handling it by the edges.
3. Insert the card into the selected slot. Make sure that the card is properly seated.
4. Secure the card with screw.
4. Connect the necessary cables to the expansion card as required.
