Final Adjustment
4-20 Manual # 42-02-7223 C1
Controlling Initial Start of Car Motion
Some gearless machines may exhibit rollback at the start of car motion. Rollback control adjust-
ments include:
Pretorque implementation for systems with analog load weighers
Adjusting motor control parameters specific to start of motion
Performing a thorough brake adjustment (iField Brake Module only)
Pretorque Adjustments
For installations using an analog load weigher, load information can be used to “Pretorque” the
hoist motor to accommodate load changes at a floor and prevent sagging or rollback.
Two Pretorque methods are provided: Balanced Load and Empty/Full Load. The Balanced Load
method is backwards compatible with the method used in previous releases of iControl soft-
ware. Balanced mode parameters are found on the left and Empty/Full Load parameters are on
the right side of the iView (Controller > Drive > Pretorque) screen shown below.
Note
Performing safety and buffer tests described later in this section will probably require that you
repeat the Pretorque adjustment described here.
