With these simple tips and some practice, you can become a
D300(S) WB expert. Pages 133-152 of your D300S User’s
Manual, or 127-146 of the D300 manual, have extensive WB
information if you want another persepctive on Nikon WB.
Learn to use the color temperature features of your camera to
make superior images. You’ll be able to capture very accurate
colors or make pictures with color casts reflecting how you
feel about the image. Practice a bit, and you’ll find it easy to
remember how to set your WB in the field.
Now, let’s turn our attention to the autofocus (AF) system in
the D300(S). Many people find the various modes hard to
remember and even a bit confusing. In the upcoming chapter,
we’ll examine how the AF modes work and how they relate
to other important camera functions.
