Recording Voice Memos
Voice memos up to sixty seconds long can be added to
photographs using the built-in microphone.
Readying the Camera for Recording
Before recording voice memos, adjust settings using the Voice
memo options item in the setup menu.
❚❚ Voice Memo
This option controls whether voice memos
are recorded automatically or manually.
The
following options are available:
Option Description
7 Off Voice memos can not be recorded in shooting mode.

On
(Auto and
manual)
Selecting this option displays
menu shown at right; select
maximum recording time
from 5, 10, 20, 30, 45, or 60 s.
Unless On is selected for
Image review in playback
menu (0 281), recording will
begin when shutter-release button is released after
shooting.
Recording ends when H button is pressed
or after specified recording time has ended.

Manual
only
Memo can be recorded for most recent photograph
by pressing and holding H button (0 248).
