Fewer Sources require internal data buffering, resulting in data latency on the order
of 0.8 sec (4...7 sources) and 2 seconds (1...3 sources).
Stream Data
Pushing this button enables NIRStar’s function as a server to publish data over the network. When the
streaming function is enabled several status lights become visible in the lower left corner of the main
Window (see Figure 21).
Compression
Data may be compressed before transmission in case of Bandwidth limitations.
TCP Port
The protocol requires server and client to agree on a TCP/IP port number. By default this number is set to
45342 and needs to be changed only if this address is already being assigned to another process.
Whichever port number is specified in NIRStar must be used by the client side to be able to receive the
data.
