[D] Erase HDD
In case of the ADI-HDD:
(1) TurnthepowerONwhilepressing[4]andthe[CLEAR]buttonsimultaneously.
(2) Keyin[1]toselect“1:RevertfactoryinstallstatusHDD.”andthenpressthe[START]
button.
(3) Turn the power OFF.
[E] Replace / Format HDD
(1) Confirm that the power is turned OFF.
(2) Replace the HDD.
(Refer to
P.6-6“6.1.4Harddisk(HDD)”.)
(3) Create the partitions on the HDD.
1.TurnthepowerONwhilepressing[3]and[CLEAR]buttonsimultaneously.
2.When“FirmwareAssistMode”appearsontheLCD,keyin[3]toselect“3:Format
HDD” and then press the [START] button.
3.When“OperationComplete”isdisplayedontheLCD,creatingofthepartitionsis
completed.
(4) Turn the power OFF.
(5) Format the service tech password.
1.TurnthepowerONwhilepressing[3]andthe[CLEAR]buttonsimultaneously.
2.When“FirmwareAssistMode”appearsontheLCD,keyin[8]toselect“8.Clear
Service Tech Password” and then press the [START] button.
3.When“ResetComplete”isdisplayedontheLCD,formattingoftheservicetech
password is completed.
(6) Turn the power OFF.
(7) Update the system software using the USB device.
See“8.2FirmwareUpdatingwithUSBDevice”fordetails.
(8) TurnthepowerOFF.
(9) WhentheFaxUnit(GD-1340)isinstalled,perform“FaxSetUp”(1*-100)and“Clearing
the image data” (1*-102). Then turn the power OFF.
(10)StartupwiththeSettingmode(08).
(11)Performthepanelcalibration(08-9050).

2.Touchthecenterof“+”markdisplayedontheupperrightoftheLCD.
3.Touchthecenterof“+”markdisplayedonthelowerleftoftheLCD.
4.Touchthecenterof“+”markdisplayedonthelowerrightoftheLCD.
(12)Checkthesystemsoftwareversion(08-8952).
ConrmtheversiondisplayedontheLCD,andthenpressthe[OK]button.

(14) Turn the power OFF.
