Stop Bit Setting: BIT (Stop Bits)
The Stop Bit Setting (BIT) will be displayed if the Up (SEL) Key ( ) is
pressed from the Data Length Setting Display (LEN).

This parameter sets the number of stop bits to 1 bit or 2 bits.
Press the Key to display the stop bit setting. The set-
ting can be changed by pressing the or Key.
1: 1 bit
2: 2 bits
Change the setting with the or Key.
• The S8AS will automatically return to the “BIT” display if
no key is pressed within 3 s.
When the Key is pressed, the setting will flash. When
the flashing stops, the new setting will be saved and the
S8AS will return to the “BIT” display.
• If you want to confirm the new setting, press the Key
again from the “BIT” display.
Switch to the
Parity Setting
(PTY).
