The Edge defines the phase of the modulating waveform. In the previous example,
choice is “RISING”, therefore, when the footswitch goes beyond position #3, the
ultrasound starts from 0 amplitude and then rises up to 100% of preset.
If the choice is “FALLING”, then the pattern appears as follows.
The Gate is a square wave at the same frequency and phase of the Modulation
waveform. It can be set in any of three possible states:
1) OFF When in this state, the gate function is not active. The ultrasound
pattern will appear as in the examples above.
2) ON When in this state, the gate square wave is logically multiplied by the
ultrasound pattern: when the square wave is at the high level, the
ultrasound bursts are emitted, when the square wave is a the low level, the
bursts are blocked (see below).
