6.5 Measurement with OV-DMC3
A commercially available differential pressure gauge can
be connected via the standard HydroPort auxiliary valves,
for example the OV-DMC3. Based on the measured
differential pressure and the Kv value, the flow rate can be
calculated. This calculation is also carried out by the OV-
DMC3, so that the flow value is displayed directly during
measurement. If two temperature sensors are used, the
power is calculated and displayed in addition to the flow
rate.
The blue measuring hose of an OV-DMC3 differential
pressure measuring device can be connected to the
HydroPort valve of the HydroControlD by means of a snap
lock.
A partner valve with measuring function is required for the
measurement, i.g. a HydroControl V or HydroControlM
double regulating valve. The red measuring hose of the
OV-DMC3 is connected to the red HydroPort valve of the
partner valve and the respective partner valve is to be
selected in the OV-DMC3.

Durchfluss messen
Jedes HydroControl D ist standardmäßig mit einem HydroPort
Hilfsventil ausgestattet. Mit HydroPort lässt sich der blaue Mess-
schlauch eines OV-DMC 3 Differenzdruckmessgerätes einfach
und sicher per Schnappverschluss anschließen. HydroPort Ven-
tile werden durch eine Vierteldrehung geöffnet.
Für die Messung wird aber zwingend ein Partnerventil mit Mess-
funktion benötigt, d.h. ein HydroControl V, HydroControl M oder
HydroCom V Strangregulierventil. Der rote Messschlauch des OV-DMC 3 wird an die-
sem Partnerventil angeschlossen und im OV-DMC 3 ist das jeweilige Partnerventil zu
wählen.

Use the Kv value of the partner valve for a flow
measurement. The values of Oventrop valves are
already stored in the OV-DMC .
Remove the blue protection cap from the HydroPort
valve of the HydroControlD.
Place the blue hose of the OV-DMC 3 on the HydroPort
valve.
Remove the red protection cap from the HydroPort
valve of the partner valve.
Place the red hose on the red HydroPort valve of the
partner valve.
Open both HydroPort valves with a 14mm open-end
spanner by turning them a quarter turn.
Carry out the measurement.
After completing the measurement, proceed in reverse
order to remove the connections.
7. Dismantling and disposal
When the product reaches the end of its service life or has
an irreparable defect, it must be dismantled and disposed
of in an environmentally friendly manner or the
components must be recycled.
