Check the following network settings.
• Connection between the LAN and
server
• SMTP server authentication
• Whether the output file name already
exists in the destination folder
• Read/write access to the destination
folder and available disk space
Consult your network administrator.

The size of image data exceeds the limit
(page 156).
Change the e-mail file size limit. For
details, refer to "SMTP" (page 107).
Reduce the number of documents or
decrease the scanning resolution.
C40 Fax Service has not been configured.
Setup Scan to Fax service via
Configuration Web.

User name and password for the server
have not been configured.
Set the user name and password
(SMTP-AUTH/POP Before SMTP) for
the user account (access restrictions)
via Configuration Web.

Reduce the number of documents.
Fxx A system error has occurred.
Turn the power off, and then turn it on
again (page 31). If the problem is still
not resolved, turn off the power, unplug
the power cord, and contact your dealer.
