Options [4] and [5]: Arming with Card
Options 4 and 5 de fine the type of arming when  arming with a n Access Control Card  (refer to section 6.2.1 on page
13). You  can  eithe r Regular arm, Stay arm, Fo rce arm, or Disable  the  Ar ming with Car d  feature.
[4] ON, [5 ] OFF = Regu lar Arm
[4] OFF, [5] ON = Stay Arm
[4] and  [5]  ON  = Fo rce Arm
[4] and  [5]  OFF = Disable the Armin g with Card fea ture
Option [6]: A dd Toler ance Windo w to Sched ule
Wh en option [6] is ON, the  Sched ule  Tolerance Win dow feature i s  enab led. This fe ature  exte nds a  User’s sche duled
access p eriod  thro ugh  an  Access Control  Door  by  the  amo unt p rogrammed  by your  Instal ler. For e xa mple, if the
User ’s assigned sched ule for the  door  is Mo nday to Frida y fro m 9:00 a.m. to 5 :00 p.m., and your Installer sets the
“Tolerance Wi ndow” a t one hour, the Use r with the “Sched ule Tolerance Wind ow” ena bled  will  be abl e to enter and
exit one h our before  and after the ir scheduled time for that d oor.
Option [7]: Co de Follows Schedu le
Wh en op tion [7] is ON, Users can u se their Access Code s only dur ing their  sche dule d hou rs assigned  in step 8 in
Fig ure 5.1 on pag e 10. Wh en the option is OFF,  Users can use their Access Codes at any  time.
Option [8]: Card  to Unlock  and Code to Disarm 
O pt ion [8 ] fu nctio ns o nly if o ption [2 ] in se ct ion  5. 8 is  OFF. W he n o pt ion [8 ] is ON, a User  can use an Access Control
Card to  unlock an armed Access Control Door, however the User must enter a  User Access Code to disarm  the
armed  are a. Whe n  option [8] i s OFF, a User can gain access to  an Access Control Door on ly if the d oor ’s ar ea(s) is
already disarmed.
For option [8] to function in the ON position, option [5] “Arm Only” in the User Options must
be disabled (refer to section 5.7 on page 12).
6.0 USING ACCESS CONTROL
6.1 ENTERING & EXITING
Depend ing on ho w your system is install ed, the re are vario us ways to en ter a nd exit Access Control Do ors:
1)Present you r Access Con tro l Card  to  the  re ader. The  system will  verify that the
card is allowe d acce ss accordin g to its assigned Access Le vel a nd Schedule. If it
is accepted, the system will u nlock the doo r. The rea der ’s l ight can be
programmed by the installer to turn gre en or extingu ish briefly to indicate that the
door can be ope ned .
2)Whe n the motion de tector dete cts movement (Requ est for Exit), it will unlock the
door to p ermit passage from inside. 
3)Enter you r User  Access Code on the keypad and  press [
AC C].
4)If the Access Control Door is on a “Door Unlocked Sched ule” , you ma y be ab le to
open Access Control Doors  without using a User Access Code or an Access
Control Card. Depending on the  do or’s  prog ramming,  the door can r emain
unlocked du ring  the entire pro grammed  schedule or the  door  can unlock once a
valid Access Control Ca rd is pre sented to the rea der d uring  th e schedule and
then will rema in unlo cked  for the remai nder  of the schedule . 
6.2 ARMING AND DISARMING WITH CARD
6.2.1 ARMING WITH CARD
An Access Control Card  can be progra mmed to a rm area s assigned  to the d oor  when it is presented  to
the read er (doo r) twice with in app roximately 5 secon ds witho ut op enin g the d oor.
