10.4 MINIMIZING HOME FIRE HAZARDS
How  can  you avoid  the  three  most common ca uses of fires at home?
• Never leave cooking food unattended. It is the leading cause of fire injuries. Cooking fires often result from unattended 
cooking and human error, rather than mechanical failure. 
• Stay alert when smoking. Careless smoking is  the leading cause of fire deaths. Smoke detectors and smoulder-resistant 
bedding and upholstered furniture are significant fire  deterrents. 
• Maintain your heating system. Faulty heating systems are the second leading cause of residential fires. 
10.5 HOME FIRE WARNING SYSTEM

10.6 BURGLAR ALARM
If your ar med system is breach ed, the burglar alarm devices specific to your system will be triggered. If your keypad
is in Normal Mode:
•  The Status Light may flash red 
•  “In Alarm” will appear on  LCD scre en.
•  Bell or siren may be activated
In case  of a burgla r alarm, leave the pre mises  and call the police sta tion from  a s afe place.
