ARIES8 REFERENCE GUIDE
v2.1 | 1
1. Introduction
This guide covers basic operation instructions, technical specifications, and answers to frequently asked
questions about the Aries8 Smart Tablet. The innovative PAX Aries8 Smart Tablet represents a true multi-
function Android tablet-based solution for the North American Retail market. The Aries8 Smart Tablet is
available in two configurations:
Aries8 Smart Tablet (Payment)
This lower cost tablet is different than the Aries8 Pro Smart Tablet in that it does not include the battery,
fingerprint reader, or the scanner. Because it does not include the battery, this tablet must be connected
to the plate that provides power at all times.
Aries8 Pro Smart Tablet (POS + Payment)
This fully featured version of the Aries8 Pro Smart Tablet includes a battery, fingerprint reader, and
scanner. The addition of a handle transforms the Aries8 Pro into a mobile scanning device ideal for taking
inventory or ordering as it does not need to be continuously connected to a charging plate.
