5.11 Overflow line connection
In the event of a malfunction, the brine tank overflow fitting will direct “overflow” to the drain
instead of spilling on the floor. This fitting should be on the side of the brine tank. Most brine tank
manufacturers feature a pre-drilled hole for the tank overflow connector.
To connect the overflow line, locate the hole on the side of the tank. Insert the overflow fitting into
the tank and tighten with plastic thumb nut and gasket as shown below. Attach a 12.7mm (½") I.D.
tubing (not supplied) to fitting and run to drain.
Do not elevate overflow higher than overflow fitting.
Do not tie into the drain line of the controller unit. The overflow line must be a direct, separate line
from overflow fitting to drain, sewer or tub. Allow an air gap as per drain line instructions.

Risk of flooding due to lack of floor drain!
Floor drain is always recommended to avoid flooding in case of overflow.
