Sample Handling
• The light beam is directed from RIGHT to LEFT through the cell chamber, as indicated
by the white arrows on the instrument enclosure. Make sure that the cell is inserted in
the correct alignment.
• The cell holder supplied with the instrument accepts standard 10–40mm (Lambda XLS)
or 10 mm (Lambda XLS+) pathlength quartz, glass or plastic cells.
• The optical height is 15 mm, and the minimum volume that can be used is
approximately 70 µl in a micro cell.
NOTE: When using calibration standard filters, insert such that the flat surface is facing
away from the spring end of the cell holder.
NOTE: A cover is provided to keep the sample compartment free from dust and debris.
When the instrument is in use, the dust cover should be kept in a safe place, nearby.
