Comments
190-15 E362 (1) Engine Overspeed Warning -
Level 1
The engine has exceeded the value that is programmed into the Electronic Con-
trol Module (ECM) for 0.6 seconds.
There are no diagnostic trouble codes for the speed/timing sensors.
The engine has been running for at least 3 seconds.
190-0 E362 (3) Engine Overspeed Warning -
Level 3
The engine has exceeded the value that is programmed into the Electronic Con-
trol Module (ECM) for 0.6 seconds.
There are no diagnostic trouble codes for the speed/timing sensors.
The engine has been running for at least 3 seconds.
The engine may shut down.
The ECM limits the flow of fuel in order to prevent the
engine speed from exceeding the value that is
programmed into the ECM. When the engine speed
has dropped to less than the value that is
programmed into the ECM, the 190-x (E362) code
will be reset.
If the engine speed exceeds the value that is
programmed into the ECM, the ECM illuminates the
warning lamp and a 190-x (E362) code is logged.
Factory passwords are required in order to clear the
code. No troubleshooting is required.
The history of engine overspeeds can be viewed on
the electronic service tool.
