Configuring WLAN Network Settings
This chapter describes how to configure your Efficia CM Series wireless monitors to
create a wireless network connection between the monitors and the receiving application
in your enterprise network.
WLAN Overview
The following figure shows a typical wireless setup.
When the Efficia CM Series monitor is connected to a WLAN network and the Data Export
function is enabled, the monitor exports data periodically and aperiodically.
The periodic export occurs at 60-second intervals, and if connected to the server
includes:
• The most recent record in the trend database (saved records are white).
Aperiodic export includes NBP measurements. These measurements are sent at the time
that they are complete. Also, alarms are exported as soon as they occur.
After the server sends a positive acknowledgement (ACK) message to the monitor, the
exported records in the tabular trend display change from white to green.
Only data with a primary ID is exported. If a record does not contain a primary ID (ID
Unknown
appears in the patient pane on the monitor), the data is not exported.
