Configuring Security Settings
Configuring WLAN Network Settings
3-16 Efficia CM Series Network Configuration Guide
If the credentials you enter in the Security Settings Menu do not match those in the
authentication database, the radio will try to connect indefinitely. If this occurs, you can
do one of the following:
• Return to the
Security Settings Menu and enter the correct credentials.
• If you do not have the correct credentials, try connecting to an open network (one
with no password) and then select Disconnect in the Security Settings Menu.
Verifying the Network Connection
The wireless connection icon appears in the lower right of the display near the battery
icon when the monitor is connected to a wireless network. The number of bars displayed
indicates the signal strength. Four bars indicates the strongest signal and zero bars
indicates a very weak signal. For optimal performance, the icon should display at least
two bars.
If the pane is empty, the monitor is not connected to a wired or wireless network.
The IP address currently assigned to the monitor appears in the WLAN IP Address field in
the System Menu. If the IP address in the WLAN IP Address field is 0.0.0.0, the monitor is
not connected to a wireless network.
If the monitor detects a LAN IP address and a WLAN IP address, the monitor first selects
LAN for network communication.
For information about resolving connectivity issues, see Chapter 6, “Troubleshooting.”
