Enabling and Disabling the Radio
Enabling and Disabling the Radio
If the monitor is being used in an area that does not have wireless coverage, you can
disable the radio to extend the battery life on the monitor.
To enable or disable the wireless radio:
Viewing Wireless Status
The Wireless list in the Network Test menu contains options that allow you to view
wireless status, including: current radio status, configuration settings on the monitor and
the AP, and information about the wireless connection.
To view the wireless status:
Step
1 Open the
Network Test menu.
The Status field displays the current status of the radio: Down, Disabled, Not
Associated
, Associated, or Authenticated.
2 To disable the radio, select the
Disable Radio button.
The Status field changes to Disabled.
3 To enable the radio, select the Enable Radio button.
The Status field displays the current status of the radio.
Step
1 Open the Network Test menu.
2 Select the Wireless list, and then select an option in the list.
The current status of the selected option appears next to the list.
