1.Temperature alarms
Note: The temperature displayed in the alarm message is the temperature at the time
the alarm originated
and not necessarily the current temperature.
Lid alarms
· Cable trapped See lid hinge/cable upgrade
· Lid open too long
· Lid covered
· Cable fault
· Lid heater pcb fault
· Motherboard fault
Likely causes include:
· Local ambient temperature being too high/ too low (the BT37 will maintain chamber
temperature in an environment with a lower temperature limit of chamber temperature -
20°C and an upper temperature limit of chamber temperature -5oC. Therefore, for a
stable chamber temperature of 37°C, the local temperature must be above 17°C and
below 32°C.
Causes of local temperature variations include
HVAC vents
Other laboratory equipment (including BT37’s)
Local draughts (from doors and windows)
