Maintenance and trouble shooting
Take the incubator out of "Bottle Change" mode. This will put the unit into "Purge"
mode.
Check that the pressure gauge returns to 0 within 8 seconds. If it does not, it may
mean that the valve was not completely shut off or is faulty and the test must be
repeated. The unit will also alarm.
Record on the visit report that the pressure returned to 0 and that the test was
successful.
Switch the unit back to "Bottle Change" mode.
Disconnect Gas Tester from Incubator.
Reconnect the gas supply and "Daisy Chain" where applicable.
Continue with Calibration/Service.
4.3 Maintenance schedules
To ensure that optimum performance is provided, the BT37 Incubator should be serviced
routinely
according to the following schedule.
The earth continuity of the mains installation must also be regularly inspected by the
person
responsible for the installation. This is not checked as part of this routine equipment
servicing.
Confirm that the equipment is safe to handle prior to carrying out the service. Ensure
that the necessary safety declaration document has been signed.
Use the form XT200565 BT37 MarkII Routine service test report.
4.3.1
12 months
Pre-Test Check
Confirmed that the equipment has been cleaned and is safe to handle.
Confirmed that the Safety Declaration document has been signed.
Safety Testing
The BT37 Incubator is classified as electrical Class 1 equipment and must be earthed
for safe operation.
Repetition of potentially damaging high-voltage flash tests should be avoided.
Perform the safety tests. Refer to Safety testing .
Note that if the customer already subjects the incubator to annual portable appliance
testing, and the incubator is marked as having been tested within the past 12 months,
and the incubator enclosure has not been opened, there is no need to repeat the test.
Upgrade Firmware
If a firmware upgrade is required, upgrade the firmware. Refer to Programming the BT37
MarkII .
Cleaning
Clean the system. Refer to the Cleaning topic in the Routine maintenance and
troubleshooting
section of the BT37 Users' Guide.
