If the distance from the middle ball to the center of the tenth ball on the left-hand side is more
than 122mm and on the right-hand side less than 118mm then the patient positioning mechanism
must be moved away from the column (
Fig. 16). Note, that the distance between the line on the
underside of the alignment ruler and the y-line on the ball phantom must be less than ±1mm, see
section
“Adjustment in ball phantom’s y-direction” on page D-14.

must be moved towards the column (
Fig. 17). Note, that the distance between the line on the

moved forwards (
