FAULT CODE DESCRIPTIONS
Disconnect plug F.P6 and F,P4 from ADDON PCB “F”.
1. Measure between J6-7 and J6-9 (5V and GND)
2. Measure between J4-3 and J6-9 (Signal and GND)
The voltage is 5 VDC +/- 10%.

Replace F.P6 from ADDON PCB “F”.
Disconnect plug from sensor Q38.
1. Check wire for Continuity / Short circuit from the Red wire at plug Q38 to F.P6-7
2. Check wire for Continuity / Short circuit from the White wire at plug Q38 to F.P4-3
3. Check wire for Continuity / Short circuit from the Black wire at plug Q38 to F.P6-9
Is there Continuity and no short circuit between Red and chassis/GND, White and chassis/GND

Repair Wire Harness.
Replace sensor Q38.

CF-012 CF-Q38 Paper Format Sensor Faulty
Fault Code indicates that the Paper Bin Low Sensor (Q38) is faulty.
Initial Actions
• Make sure that Q38 is installed and connected correctly (PL 8.2).
• Make sure that plug F P6 on Addon PCB “F” in the Booklet Maker is connected (PL 3.2).
• Make sure that jack/plug J32/P32 J33/P33 in the Cover Feeder is connected.
Procedure
WARNING
Switch off the Main Power Switch and disconnect the Main Power Cord
before disconnecting, removing or replacing any electrical components.
