8. Remove the two M6 cylinder head fasteners

9. Remove the six cylinder head bolts

and remove
the cylinder head assembly.
IMPORTANT
Once the cylinder head is removed, nothing retains the
cylinder to the engine. DO NOT rotate the engine
without using the Cylinder Holding & Camshaft Timing
Plate PU-50563.
IMPORTANT
Fasteners are one time use. Discard after removing.
10.Refer to Cylinder Head Inspection page 3.49 before
reassembly.
INSTALLATION
1. Install a NEW cylinder head gasket.
IMPORTANT
Ensure the cylinder head surface and cylinder head
surfaces are clean and free of debris.
2. Install the cylinder head assembly and loosely install
NEW cylinder head bolts.
IMPORTANT
Ensure the cylinder head is fully seated on the cylinder
head dowels.
