Poseidon SE7EN+ User Manual Appendix 3 Page 131
DANGER:
On a planned decompression dive, always check that the setpoint
corresponds to the congured “deep” setpoint when reaching 15
meter (50 feet) or deeper. If the setpoint is 1.0 bar at 15 meter
(50 feet) it indicates that the hyperoxic linearity check has not
completed successfully and that the setpoint therefore is limited
to a maximum of 1.0 bar (unless the “deep” setpoint has been set
to 1.0 bar manually). In that case a backup computer operating
in (xed) Setpoint mode with no sensor attached to the breathing
loop must have its “deep” (“high”) setpoint changed to 1.0 bar for
correct calculation of decompression obligations.
Also remember that a dive with the setpoint limited to 1.0 bar will
result in longer decompression stop time and therefore requires
more gas than a dive with identical dive prole performed with a
setpoint above 1.0 bar.
DANGER:
When the hyperoxic linearity test has not completed successfully,
do never add oxygen manually to raise the ppO2 above 1.0 bar at
a depth greater than MOD for pure oxygen (6 meter / 20 feet with a
maximum ppO2 limit of 1.6 bar). If the hyperoxic linearity test has
not completed successfully, the oxygen sensors cannot be trusted
to produce an accurate reading above 1.0 bar. Therefore, raising
the ppO2 above 1.0 bar entails the risk that the actual ppO2 of
the breathing loop is higher than the measured ppO2, which can
result in serious injury or death without alarms for high ppO2.
