Section 5 Service Procedures
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the dryer(s) before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas dryer(s) before servicing.
• Never start the dryer(s) with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the dryer is properly grounded.

b. Power Cord:
(1) Remove access plate on rear of cabinet.
(2) Remove strain relief.
(3) Remove screw holding power cord ground
wire to rear bulkhead. Refer to Figure 62.
NOTE: Reinstall screw and ground wires into same
hole in bulkhead when reinstalling power cord.
(4) Disconnect molex plug and remove power
cord from rear of dryer cabinet.
NOTE: A qualified electrician should check the
polarity of the wall receptacle. If a voltage reading
is measured otherthan that illustrated, the qualified
electrician should correct the problem.
