1. Cycle power: Turn printer off.
Wait 15 seconds. Turn printer
on.
“Software Error * ” message. Go to step 2. Return printer to
normal operation.
2. Disconnect the input data line
from the host computer.
Cycle power.
“Software Error * ” message. Go to step 3. Problem is not in
the printer. Return
printer to normal
operation.
3. Make a Diagnostic Check of
the CCB (page 4–30). If any
problems are found on the
CCB, replace the board.
