CAUTION: The control solution ranges printed on
the back of the Prodigy test strip vials are not blood
glucose target ranges.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
• Prodigy Control Solution is only to be used with
Prodigy Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems.
• Check the expiration date on the bottle. Do not use if
expired.
• Use within 90 days after opening. Record the discard
date on the bottle to remind you when to discard
your control solution.
WHY PERFORM A CONTROL SOLUTION TEST:
• To ensure that your meter and test strips are working
properly together.
• To allow you to practice testing without using your
own blood.
WHEN TO PERFORM A CONTROL SOLUTION TEST:
• When you begin using a new vial of test strips.
• At least once a week.
• When you suspect the meter or test strips are not
working properly.
• When your blood glucose test results are not
consistent with how you feel, or when you think
your test results are inaccurate.
