Do not get any liquids, dirt, dust, blood, control solu-
tion, or cleaning materials inside the meter through the
test strip port or the data port. Never spray cleaning
solution on the meter or immerse it in any liquid.
Lancing Device
Wipe your Prodigy lancing device
with a PDI Super Sani-Cloth Germi-
cidal Disposable Wipe. Do not im-
merse the lancing device in any liq-
uid. Do not use bleach. Disinfect your
Prodigy lancing device twice a week.
After cleaning the device, unscrew the cap; wipe it with
a PDI Super Sani-Cloth Germicidal Disposable Wipe for
two (2) minutes. Make sure the cap is completely dry
before reattaching it to the device.
Disinfecting your System
Disinfection is a process that destroys pathogens, such
as viruses and other microorganisms on the meter and
lancing device surfaces.
use bleach, harsh abrasives, or cleaning materials other
than the PDI Sani Cloths. The meter has been tested to
withstand cleaning for up to two times per week for 3
years (520 validated cycles (1 cycle = 1 cleaning wipe
and 1 disinfection wipe)).
