STEP 3: Gently massage your
nger or the puncture site to ob-
tain the required blood volume. To
perform the test, you need 0.7 μL
of blood. For best results, wipe off
the rst drop of blood and gently
massage the area to obtain anoth-
er drop of blood. Do not smear the
blood sample.
Step 4: Remove the Lancing De-
vice Cover and push the Lancet
Ejector to release the Lancet. Dis-
pose of the used Lancet into the
appropriate Sharps or Biohazard
container.
Note: The rst drop of blood usually contains tissue
uid and serum which may affect the test result. It
should be discarded.
