CAUTION!
– IP 65 degree of protection applies only to a
plug-socket combination that has been
screwed together!
–
Cables with moulded M12 industrial connectors
must be used in ambient conditions requiring
protection against contact and moisture up to
IP 65.
– IP 65 degree of protection applies to an
unwired pump (with PROFIBUS
®
module) only
if IP 65-compliant covers are placed over the
M12 industrial sockets! The cover supplied
does not guarantee chemical resistance.
If the pump is the last bus device connected to the PROFIBUS
®
cable, it must be connected completely as a termination using the
plug-in PROFIBUS
®
terminating resistor (order no. 1036622) see
EN 50170. The PROFIBUS
®
terminating resistor has IP 65 protec‐
tion against contact and moisture.
3.5
Operation
3.5.1 General
Using the connected PROFIBUS
®
module, the PROFIBUS
®
pump
represents a device with slave functionality in conformity with DP-
V1. This means that the payload is transferred both cyclically and
acyclically.
3.5.2 GSD file
Use the GSD file to configure the master. The GSD file describes
all features of the pump in PROFIBUS
®
mode (keywords, diagnos‐
tics, modules, slots). The GSD file can be downloaded from the
PROFIBUS
®
website and from the ProMinent website. The file
name is unique: DFXA1137.GSD .
