4 Working with the unit
4.1 Initial start-up
When you start your unit for the first time, it will have already been properly installed by a RATIONAL Service
Partner, The self-test will have been completed, so the unit will be ready for use. Information related to installation
is available in the installation manual included in delivery.
Before working with the unit for the first time
1. Clean the unit and all accessories before initial use.

4.2 Switching the unit on and off
1. To switch on the device, press the button for around 3 seconds:
> The unit will power on. The home screen will appear.
2. To switch off the unit, press and hold the button until the status bar is shown in full at the top edge of the
display:
>> The unit will power off.
4.3 Interacting with the unit
NOTICE
Improper display operation
Using a sharp object to operate the display could damage the display.
1. Only operate the unit using your hands.
You can operate your unit with a single gesture, or use the central selection knob.
Press Turn and press
1. Use the control panel buttons to select operating modes or functions.
2. Turn the central selection knob to adjust settings.
3. Press the central selection knob to confirm your selection.
