The exact forward speed can also be calculated using the following formula:

Example: You need 45 seconds for 100 m:

Determining the nominal output volume per minute
To calculate the nominal output volume per minute, you will require the following:
• The exact forward speed
• The working width
• The desired application rate
Example: The nominal output volume at a particular outlet is to be determined. Your forward speed is
8 km/h, the working width is specified to be 18 m and the application rate shall amount to 300 kg/ha.
