11 Maintenance and service
11.1 Safety
Maintenance and service involve additional hazards that do not occur during operation of the machine.
For this reason, take particular care when carrying out maintenance and service work. Work
particularly thoroughly and cautiously.
Please note the warnings in the chapter 3 Safety
Take particular note of the instructions in the section. 3.8 Maintenance and service
Observe the following instructions in particular:
• Welding and work on the electrical and hydraulic systems is to be carried out by qualified
technicians only.
• There is a risk of tipping when working at the lifted machine. Always secure the machine using
suitable supports.
• Always use both eyelets in the hopper for lifting the machine by means of hoisting gear.
• There is a risk of crushing and shearing at power-operated components. Make sure that there is
no one in close proximity to the moving parts during maintenance.
• Spare parts must at least comply with the technical standards specified by the manufacturer. This
is assured with original spare parts.
• Before starting any cleaning, maintenance, or repair work, and when troubleshooting, switch off
the tractor's engine and wait until all moving parts of the machine have come to a stop.
• By controlling the machine with an operating unit, additional risks and hazards due to externally
operated components may arise.
○ Disconnect the power supply between the tractor and the machine.
○ Disconnect the power supply cable from the battery.
• Repairs may ONLY be carried out by instructed and authorized workshops.
