Step 4:
Check whether the third-
party
system renders 20 mmHg ±
2
mmHg, and press the OK key.
Step 5:
The available pressure signals are
displayed (soft keys). Use a key to
select a signal, such as ICP1.
Step 6:
When the signal has been passed
through to the MPR1 successfully,
the overview screen is displayed
on the MPR1, and the third-party
system indicates the pressure
signal passed through.
After successfully signal relaying to the third-party system set the alarm limits.
For each of steps 3-5, you have 180 s time before the next key press. Upon timeout, the setup
reverts to step1. The analogue output connection is not made. The minimum analogue output of
the MPR1 is 355 mm Hg.
The zeroing of the downstream monitor should be carried out when the MPR1 is at the right
temperature. If this is not possible, the zeroing of the downstream monitor (screen 4, OUT1 /
OUT2) has to be repeated at the right temperature in order to compensate the drift. The zero
point of the pressure sensor is not lost by this action.
If monitoring is to be carried out using the analogue outputs, the upper alarm limit for the third-
party monitor has to be set to a maximum of 350 mmHg, and the alarm has to be activated on
the third-party monitor.
In case of non-observation, the third-party system will not release an alarm when the pressure
sensor is removed from the MPR1 or is damaged. The analogue output of the MPR1 will read at
least 355 mmHg, if the pressure sensor is removed from the MPR1.
In critical cases, two equal pressure channels shall have to be used for redundant monitoring
(allocation of a pressure channel to both analogue outputs).
For the accuracy of the signal relaying to the third-party system, please observe: When using
the analogue output, an error chain will be produced consisting of the accuracy of the pressure
input, the analogue output as well as the pressure input of the third-party system. These errors
sum up.
If you want to link the analogue output Out-2, please proceed as with Out-1.
