Activating StarSight
Receiving Program Information
With StarSight activation and equipment setup complete, you will begin to collect StarSight program
information at the scheduled data reception time (preset 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM). Your system will be
automatically updated with the latest program information at your scheduled data reception time or
anytime your VCR is tuned to your PBS station. Initially, it will take between 4 and 12 hours to collect
program information. If you want your VCR to collect program information during a different time period,
please see the “Scheduling Data Reception” on page 42.
