6. „Reverse Type“ (Driving Mode)
This setting determines the driving mode.
„ProportionalRev.Lockout“:Beforeswitchingbetweenforwardsandreversedriving,thethrottle/brakeleveratthe
transmittermustbeputinneutralpositionbriey(approx.2seconds).Thisavoidsgeardamageduetotoo-fastchan-
ging between forward and reverse driving.
Ifyoushiftdirectlyfromforwardstoreverse,thespeedcontroller‘sbrakewillbeactivated(thevehiclewillnotgo
backwards!).
„Proportional w/o Reverse“: Reverse driving is deactivated.
„FWDtoBrakeandReverse“:Youcanonlyswitchfromforwardtoreversedrivingifthemotorhasstopped.
7. „Motor Type“
This setting must be left set to „Brushless w/o Sensor“ since the motor of the car model is a sensor-free brushless
motor. The setting „sensor only“ must not be used for this.
8. „Motor Timing“
Thissettinginuencesmotorrunningcharacteristics(similartoearlyignitionofacombustionengine).
Setting „lowest“ means that the motor has a little more torque as compared to the basic settings („low“), and a slightly
lower maximum speed. The setting „highest“ means that the motor has a slightly higher maximum speed and a little
less torque. In both cases, the current values change however. Additionally observe the temperatures of the motor
and speed controller in operation.
c) Programming via the Transmitter
The speed controller cannot only be programed via the enclosed programming card, but also via the throttle/brake
leverofthetransmitter.Forthis,theprogrammingmodeofthespeedcontrollermustbeactivatedrst,ofcourse.
Proceed as follows:
• Turnoffthespeedcontroller(switchto„OFF“;seegureinchapter9.f).
• Nowconnectthetwofullycharged2-cellLiPodrivingbatteriestothespeedcontrollerviatheenclosedY-recharge-
able battery adapter.
• Movethethrottle/brakeleverintofullthrottleforforwarddriving(pullthethrottleallthewaytowardsthehandle)and
keep it there.
• Switchonthespeedcontrollerwiththeon/offswitch(switchposition„ON“);keepthethrottle/brakeleverinthe
throttle position for forward driving. Do not release!
TheLEDnowashesgreenandthemotoremitssoundsignals(theyaregeneratedbythebriefactivationofthe
motor by the speed controller).
Thespeedcontrollerrststartstheprogramingmodeforthefullthrottlepositionsforforwardandreversedriving
andtheneutralposition.Keepthethrottle/brakeleverinthefullthrottleforforwardsdriving,donotrelease,donot
move!
The motor emits a long beep (approx. 1 second).
ThentheLEDashesredandthemotoremitsbriefsoundsignals.
After a few more seconds, the motor emits another long beep.
ThentheLEDashesyellowandthemotoremitsbriefsoundsignals.
