Improper repairs
Unauthorised and improper repairs can cause injuries.
Repairs to the device may only be carried out by the Retsch GmbH ,
an authorised representative or by qualified service technicians.
Do not carry out any unauthorised or improper repairs to the device!
9.1 Cleaning

Risk to life caused by an electric shock
Cleaning live parts with water
Cleaning the device with water can lead to life-threatening injuries caused
by an electric shock if the device has not been disconnected from the
power supply.
Only carry out cleaning work on the device when it has been
disconnected from the power supply.
Use a cloth moistened with water for cleaning.
Do not clean the device under running water!

Cleaning with compressed air
When using compressed air for cleaning purposes dust and remnant of
the sample material can be flung around and injure eyes.
Always wear safety glasses when cleaning with compressed air.
Observe the material safety data sheets of the sample material.

Damage to the housing and device
Use of organic solvents
Organic solvents may damage plastic parts and the coating.
The use of organic solvents is not permitted.
Clean the housing of the device with a damp cloth and if necessary, with a household
cleaning agent. Pay attention that no water or cleaning agent enters the interior of the
device.
Check at regular intervals whether coolant or grease is escaping in or beneath the device.
9.1.1 Cleaning of the Grinding jar
All grinding jars, also those with glued ceramic inserts, can be cleaned with alcohol, petrol or
normal household detergent.
